This is a brief overview of the story I will be illustrating and creating a cover for. Brand- Chestnut Tree. Name- The Troublesome Tales of an Infectious mind. Characters - Vennie, Christie. In 1995 Vennies mother Christie was watching Babylon on tv in London when she suddenly went into labour... she suffered 20 hrs in labour bearing a baby girl weighing in at 9lbs 10oz... Vennie was a bubbly toddler/little girl/teenager girl very vibrant and full of life. In 1999 she lived in a fantasy world where she pretended/wanted to be a celebrity age 5 known around the world she thought her initials meant something she was that chubby because of her chubby tiny body. She wanted to be somebody known around the world for her work. As she grew older she realised life was not all about fairytales she lived believing that she was a normal unknown individual. Her trauma from her childhood made her the way she became as an adult. The victim of Hollywood....and the people in the world believing the propaganda lies and tv mental health. She went to a performing arts school at the brit school in Birmingham. She loved it but always felt different. The jelly baby serum cult watched her with black cloaks and masks with significant famous people in it. 30 people. Injected with jelly baby serum. They proposed an offer to gain more jelly babies earning mass amounts of money for life. Vennie got scared. However, she grew up and got to marry her dream husband lived with her puppies and fishes and 3 little girls. The end. My client is aiming to create a dark atmosphere with her story. So I am thinking of using a dark earthy colour pallet with mostly dark browns. I want to aid the story with my illustrations. It will be a children's book, so I will incorporate a childish style into my illustrations. I have spoken to my client about ideas for the book they have requested a portrait of a girl with something inside her head to go with the title (The Troublesome Tales of an Infectious mind.) I will be using photoshop and illustrator to create the book cover.

This was what I imagined the book cover would look like but the client did not like my idea.
